An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until November 7, 2021
Celebrate the 2021 Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with the Walters Art Museum in person or online.
From October 20 – November 7, visitors to the Walters Art Museum can contribute to a community altar designed by artist Edgar Reyes, pick up an Art Kit, and visit the Translations and Transitions / Traducciones y Transiciones exhibition. A special community conversation will be held on October 28 to explore the variations of traditions practiced as part of the Día de los Muertos celebrations. Explore more programs, activities, and community resources online. Please check the Walter’s website for their schedule.
For the safety of our community and staff, there will not be a single-day festival this year. Visitors can celebrate Día de los Muertos at the museum at any time October 20 – November 7.
