WTMD is pulling out all the stops for their first ever Mini Holiday Spectacular Dec. 15 at Towson University’s West Village Commons Ballroom. By popular demand, they are bringing back Outcalls’ amazing performance of the songs from “Frozen” (which sold out two shows at the Baltimore School for the Arts earlier this year). Rufus Roundtree, an amazing horn player who’s part of George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic family, is bringing his Bmore Brass Factory along for a set of super funky holiday songs. And Towson University’s Opera in a Can is opening the show with a set of traditional, kid-friendly holiday songs. Santa Claus will be there too, and there will be snacks, coffee and more. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the show starts at 9:30 a.m. This show is a fundraiser to support children’s programming on 89.7 WTMD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public radio station. Tickets are non-refundable. This is an indoor show, and will go on rain or shine.
This show is being held in Towson University’s new West Village Commons Ballroom, which has a dedicated private lactation room, stainless steel infant changing tables in all the bathrooms and free garage parking! It’s easy to find, clean, carpeted and open, with no fixed seating.
