Lil’ Nippers (Ages 6-11)

Learn about the Chesapeake Bay Waterways and what is involved in “working the waters” for a local oyster harvester and his skipjack. Enjoy a reading from a Chesapeake Bay-themed book, followed by a chance to tong for oysters off the “boat” the way watermen still do today. Various oyster life cycle shells and waterman props are available to see and touch. Presented by Clear Shark H2O education coordinators.

Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
