The B & O Railroad Museum is honoring African American History Month with our “From Slavery to Civil Rights” tour. Discover the rich and enduring legacy of African American railroaders, from the dark days of slavery and the Civil War, through segregation, and into the Civil Rights movement. The kid-friendly version of their “From Slavery to Civil Rights” tour is designed to engage kids’ in their understanding of the history of African Americans on the railroad, and includes an activity to reflect on what they have learned.
