Join Waldorf School of Baltimore at The Ivy Bookshop on the covered patio for a festive and fun seasonal celebration. This program is best for children up to age 7 and will include songs, story time and a special holiday craft lead by one of Waldorf’s early childhood teachers.

A Lantern Walk is a favorite fall tradition in Waldorf Schools. It is designed to teach children to celebrate the light within as we head into the shorter days and longer nights of winter.

Families are welcome to sit on a blanket brought from home, or enjoy one of the picnic tables on Ivy’s expansive wooded grounds to create their craft following our story and songs.

Your $5 registration provides a warm drink and everything needed to create your own lantern.

Guests who participate in Hands on Holiday: Lantern walk will receive an invitation to join the Waldorf Schools evening lantern walk the following week – as well as information on how to organize your own neighborhood walk at home!
