July is Juice Box July at Baltimore Hunger Project… and they need YOUR help filling the warehouse with juice boxes!
Each school year, Baltimore Hunger Project feeds more than 1600 area children each weekend through their weekend food bag initiative. They partner with schools in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Harford County to provide a “food bridge” over the weekend to children who receive free and reduced lunch at school and may not have access to food between lunch on Friday and breakfast on Monday. Over the summer, they work with other community organizations to reach food insecure children.
They’re starting to gear up for next school year NOW, starting with juice boxes.
Here’s how you can help:
1) Host a Juice Box Drive with your Summer Camp, Scouts Program, or Youth Group. Drop off collected juice box donations to Baltimore Hunger Project!
2) Pick-up an extra case of juice boxes while you’re shopping and drop them by their warehouse in Timonium.
3) Ask your neighbors and friends to donate! Volunteer to be a collection point and then drop the donations by the BHP Warehouse.
Donations can be dropped off between 9 AM and 4 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The warehouse is located at 9596 Deereco Road, Timonium, MD 21093.
