Looking for a way to beat the rain this weekend? Join MidAtlantic Youth Ballet (MYB) for a performance of “The Sleeping Beauty!”

Celebrating 15 years of performance this season, MYB is thrilled to be back on stage at Towson University this spring — with a cast of over 100 youth and community dancers! With fairies, nymphs, woodland creatures, minions, and royalty, this family-friendly show will captivate audience members of all ages. For sneak peeks, check out our Instagram reel or follow MYB.

Performances take place at Stephens Hall at Towson University on Saturday June 11 at 1 PM and 6 PM, and on Sunday, June 12 at 2 PM. Purchase tickets online before you go through the Towson University box office.

(Cool) Parent Tip: Instead of firing up Disney+ and streaming their version of the story, consider sharing The New York City Ballet’s book (available on Kindle and as a picture book!) with your child before the show! The ballet is different from the Disney version and they’ll have a heads up on the storyline if you share the story ahead of time. We also love Story Orchestra’s The Sleeping Beauty book, which will introduce your child to musical snippets throughout the book.
