Pint-sized paleontologists get excited! Your favorite prehistoric beings are making a rare — and limited — appearance at the Maryland Zoo!

Last week, the Zoo opened its newest attraction: DINOSAURS: Explore the Prehistoric Forest. Situated along a path in the Zoo’s old growth forest, the exhibit features 28 creatures triggered by motion sensors to move and roar. Some are as tall as 35 feet or as long as 40 feet!

DINOSAURS at the Maryland Zoo is a blockbuster experience you won’t want to miss,” said Maryland Zoo President & CEO, Kirby Fowler. “To see these dinosaurs at full scale in our forest will give you a sense of what it was like when they walked the planet. And our educational resources will link these prehistoric creatures to their living descendants that we have here as part of our animal collection.”

Admission to the exhibit is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. Note that regular Zoo admission does not include the DINOSAURS exhibit. They are offering special DINOMORE combo tickets that include admission to both the Zoo and the Dinosaurs exhibit, plus unlimited carousel and train rides.

Want to make your prehistoric time-hop even more memorable? The Zoo is planning several dino-mite events while the exhibit is open:
