Port Discovery is launching a new Wellness Saturday program this February — which includes hosting a mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinic for area families. Those who get their vaccine or booster at the museum get FREE museum admission!

Beginning February 5, the Wellness Saturday initiative will offer programs, activities, and information to help children and families explore healthy habits. Thanks to a collaboration with Baltimore City Health Department and Johns Hopkins Medicine, eligible children and adults can get a FREE Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination or booster at Port Discovery Children’s Museum and receive a FREE ticket to play at the museum! The mobile clinic will offer COVID-19 vaccination for children ages 5–11 as well as vaccination and boosters for individuals ages 12 and older. Those under age 17 MUST have a parent or guardian come with them to the vaccination clinic and sign a consent form. It is highly recommended that individuals getting their first or second vaccine dose register in advance; however, those getting booster shots do not need to register in advance. You can find more information and register for one of the Saturday clinics here.

After receiving their vaccine at the Museum’s vaccine clinic, families can enjoy the Port Discovery and take part in special health and wellness programs. Kids can explore dance, movement and mindfulness for children with Maria Broom on February 5 and 12. Onsite Johns Hopkins Medicine pediatricians will be available to answer any health questions or concerns and families can stop by the art studio to make olympic medals, too! You can view all upcoming Wellness Saturdays programming here.
