Grab the lights and cue the holiday music: The 32nd annual Festival of Trees will return Thanksgiving weekend for three days of holiday fun that benefits the patients, students and families that Kennedy Krieger Institute serves. Get ready for a magical weekend for the whole family!

This year, Festival of Trees is virtual and tickets are FREE for everyone (you just have to register online!). Here are four fun ways to get in on the festivities!

Fill Your Home with Festive Holiday Tunes

This year’s festival features a fabulous line-up of virtual holiday entertainment, including a performance by the Grammy-nominated band Milkshake. Best part? You can enjoy the concerts and fun wearing your favorite holiday PJs.  The event will include an interactive Event Experience Portal, so you won’t miss out on your favorite Festival of Trees traditions. (We hear there are some surprises, too!) Be sure to register to get access to the portal.

Attend a LIVE Q&A With Santa or the Snow Sisters

Ever wonder what Santa’s favorite holiday cookie is? Or if the snow sisters play with snow inside their castle? You (or your kids!) can have their questions during one of Kennedy Krieger’s live Zoom sessions. They’re FREE! But space is limited so be sure to register in advance

Shop the Holiday Market — Online!

Aside from all the incredible, one-of-a-kind trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses, Festival of Trees features a wonderful variety of vendor booths, as well as a silent auction and a raffle. This year, the auction, raffle and vendor village will be online so you can get a head start on your holiday shopping list from the comfort of your home!

Swing By the Drive-Thru Toy Drive

Kick-off your holiday weekend with music, Santa, princesses, giveaways and other entertainment to experience from your car. Each person who drops off a toy* will receive a special giveaway as a “thank you” for helping them make the season brighter. You’ll also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two $250 gift cards to Weis Markets!

The first-ever Festival of Trees Toy Drive will be held outside at the Maryland State Fairgrounds on Friday, November 26, and Saturday, November 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m

Looking for inspiration and suggestions for toys that would be perfect for the patients and students at Kennedy Krieger? View their Toy Drive wish list on Amazon! The wish list includes toy suggestions for all ages (and if you can’t make the drive-through drop off, you can have your item sent directly to Kennedy Krieger!). Please note that only new, unwrapped toys can be donated. Stuffed animals and plush toys cannot be accepted.
