All aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine will be hosting outdoor events at the B&O Railroad Museum on May 14-16 & 21-23, 2021. With full health and safety protocols in place, this fun-filled event offers families the opportunity to hop on board an interactive train ride pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine, and enjoy access to family activities including lawn games, live entertainment to include a DJ and Gregory Mays the stilt-walker, photo ops, a bubble zone, special guest appearances from the horses of the First Mile Stable, and more. The Columbia Orchestra returns to the Chrysalis on May 22nd! A smaller ensemble from the Orchestra, dancers from Dance Connections, and narrator Greg Jukes perform Prokofiev’s immortal Peter and the Wolf, music from Moana, and more! Children of all ages will enjoy this fun-filled introduction to the orchestra! This concert will follow CDC guidelines for appropriate mask-wearing and social distancing from other parties. 2nd Annual Drive-thru Strawberry Festival

Weber’s will be holding their Drive-thru Strawberry Festival on May 22nd & 23rd from 12-6 p.m. Last year they held their first ever drive-thru festival in response to the restrictions that were in place with the COVID-19 Pandemic. It was so well received last year that they are happy to offer a 2nd Annual Drive-thru Strawberry Festival in May. They are excited to celebrate their homegrown strawberry harvest with both the drive-thru festival in May and our 5th Annual Strawberry Festival (in-person not drive-thru) on June 5th and 6th. For the Drive-thru Strawberry Festival, they will be offering drive-thru ordering of strawberry treats. Brigance Brigade Foundation’s 5.7K Championship Race and Family Fun Run/Walk

The Brigance Brigade Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by former Baltimore Raven and champion football player, O.J. Brigance and his wife, Chanda, that equips, encourages and empowers people living with ALS and their caregivers, announced today that it will hold its 9th Annual 5.7K Champion Race & 1.57 Mile Family Fun Run/Walkvirtually on Sunday, May 23, 2021. The event features a 5.7K timed raced which is slightly longer than a traditional 5K to commemorate the #57 worn by O.J. Brigance. The race also features a 1.57-mile family fun run/walk and a .57-mile kids’ fun-run for children under 16 years old. Race miles can be logged on any course including treadmills, and at any time between May 1-23, to be considered in the 5.7K standings. Registration is open through May 23! MORE
