Maryland Day Weekend: Self-Guided History Hike of Bacon Ridge Natural Area

Celebrate Maryland Day Weekend outside in your local woods! The Scenic Rivers Land Trust team are once again creating materials to help you explore for landscape clues on a self-led hike of history-rich Bacon Ridge Natural Area in Crownsville. Following the downloadable digital trail guide and posted trail signs, you’ll learn how humans and nature have interacted to make the landscape we see today, all while enjoying the beautiful 1,000+ acre protected forest. Pullstring Puppets at the Science Center

Maryland Science Center

Design a character and make it move with the pull of a string. Clever levers will bring your puppet to life! Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from March 19 – March 28th. Free with paid admission. Head to The Shed to make your puppet. The Shed opens at 12 noon. MORE

Lent Friendly Food Truck Friday (Carry-Out Only)

Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company

Head to Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company for their first Food Truck Friday of 2021! This will be a single truck event and will be carry out only. Diner on the Go is the food truck attending. Masks and social distancing required. MORE

The Harford County 4-H Camp and Deer Creek Overlook Egg Hunt

Harford County 4-H Camp and Deer Creek Overlook

Join The Harford County 4-H Camp and Deer Creek Overlook for an egg hunt! Two times available: 10:30 AM and 12 noon. $5/child. Tickets are limited and food will be available for purchase at each hunt! All proceeds directly benefit the Harford County 4-H Camp and Deer Creek Overlook. Masks are required. A Family Fun Day with a Women’s History Month theme! Children can create and fly pink paper airplanes to a designated destination, play “The Forces of Flight” game, and learn about how the 99’s. a women’s pilot group, got its name. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Wearing masks and social distancing is required. At 2pm, families are invited to stay for the day’s finale. MORE

Puppet Powered Weekend!

Join Port Discovery as they celebrate World Puppetry Day! This full weekend event will be showcasing the work & skills of local puppeteers from the Maryland area. A variety of workshops, performances, and puppet meet-and-greets for children and adults to make, interact, and learn about different puppetry styles. MORE

Equinox Walk in the Woods

To Bee or Not to Bee
