Hey, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie fans! We’ve got super fun news! New York Times best-selling children’s book author Laura Numeroff  is coming (virtually!) to Baltimore County Public Library!

On Monday, March 22 at 4 PM, Baltimore County Public Library is a story time and Q&A session with Numerof! The author will read from her most well-known books as well as engage with young readers. Numeroff is best known for the series based on her beloved book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. First printed in 1985, “Mouse” is now beyond its 60th printing. The fourth book in the series, If You Take a Mouse to the Movies was on the New York Times Children’s Best Seller list for five months- nine weeks at number one.

It’s not just a storytime — the program kicks off  BCPL’s “1000 Books Before Kindergarten,” a reading program for parents and caregivers to complete with their children from ages birth to five. Reading out loud with children helps to develop important early literacy skills—such as speaking, listening and communicating—before they start kindergarten.

Best of all, this virtual author event is FREE! Register here.
