The Kids Room at the Maryland Science Center is exploring the science of ice this month with Let’s Freeze! Draw Along with Illustrator Nina Pata
Wind down the day — and celebrate the New Year — with a read along all about keeping promises to yourself, being confident, and striving to be your best with the illustrator of I Promise, Nina Mata! After reading, Nina will guide everyone through a draw along session. Using Crayola art tools, she’ll talk about goal setting and give tips on ways to draw characters that help us understand how they are feeling. The virtual fun starts at 7 PM! MORE
Tweens Can Try A Virtual Yoga HIIT Workout
Tweens can join instructor Bridget Strama from Child’s Heart Yoga for a yoga and HIIT class (designed for ages 9-13). Try the class on 1/7/21 for Free! This class will allow tweens to move forward with clearer and calmer minds. It will also allow for an increase in strength and flexibility in their bodies. Register in advance.
