From North Pole walks to ice sculpting displays to drive-thru Santa visits to virtual performances of holiday favorites, there are lots of ways to keep the kiddos busy this weekend! Here are our favorite family events in and around Baltimore.

North Pole Lights Walk
Thursday, December 17 – Sunday, December 20 | 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Willow Oak Flower & Herb Farm

Take a self guided walk to the North Pole! Walk through many different light displays as you make your way to see Santa! Bring the family for a walk to the North Pole! See the garden flower lights, forest animals and many more as you journey to the North Pole. Santa is outside to visit with children. Masks are required and social distancing is observed. $7 per person. MORE

VIRTUAL | Hanukkah Storytime
Thursday December 17 | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Hosted by the Jewish Museum of Maryland, the Center for Jewish Education, PJ Library, the JCC, and other community partners

Celebrate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah virtually with the Jewish Museum of Maryland, the Center for Jewish Education, PJ Library, the JCC, and other community partners. They will come together every night to hear stories read by local families, enjoy interactive holiday crafts, and light the menorah candles. A special Hanukkah related theme will inspire each night’s activities. This program is FREE and best suited for children age 10 and under. MORE

Christmas On The Farm! Join Third Way Farm on December 18th for a family friendly Christmas event! In addition to their weekly market set up in the barn, they will also have special guest vendors! Evergrain Bread Company and Terra Verde Soy candles will be set up selling their goods. The day will entail hot drinks from Concord Point Coffee, farm tours(2:45,3:45,4:45), opportunity to win a raffle, a giving tree, live music by Feather and Flask, and picture opportunities with Santa, and MORE! Ice Sculpting Masters – Drive Thru Holiday Display
Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 | 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Turf Valley Resort

For one weekend only. 8 of the world’s best ice sculptors are coming to Maryland to compete for the 1st place medal. Almost 50,000 pounds of frozen water will be used to create 8 ice carving displays, each consisting of 20 crystal clear ice blocks. This is a U.S. National Championship event. Carvers will design and sculpt a sculpture based on the theme: The Winter Season & The Holiday’s Around The World. MORE

Parents’ Night Out: Holiday Party

It’s the Snapology Parent’s Night Out Holiday Party with a special visitor! Drop your kids off at the Snapology Discovery Center while you catch a meal out or run errands. Kids will take part in Holiday LEGO building projects, games, crafts, and having fun with friends. Kids will have their own table to sit at with their own materials. A new take on the traditional event! Join Port Discovery in decorating our life-size cardboard Gingerbread house by decorating your very own cardboard brick! Stop by the StudioWorkshop for your cardboard brick, get creative, decorate, and then attach it to the house before heading off to explore more of the Museum. The awesome Fill’er-up is hosting a drive-thru, Covid safe Santa event! Stay in your car and Santa will entertain you and the little ones for a minute or so. This is 100% free!
