Get Into the Groove — Dance the Story of Hip Hop!

“Get Into the Groove: A Story of Hip Hop” is a performance that takes the audience on an immersive journey through the 4 main elements of Hip Hop: Breakdancing, DJ, Emcee, and Graffiti. Join Enoch Pratt Free Library on Saturday, August 8th at 2 PM for this virtual event and experience the joy and freedom that comes from Hip Hop culture through spectacular dance moves, history, and storytelling. Catch a Pirate Radio Concert

The pandemic may have forced WTMD to cancel their 2020 First Thursday Festival series, but they’re still committed to bringing free live music to Baltimore! On Saturday, August 8, WTMD, Stages Music Arts and Urban Pirates are partnering to present the Pirate Radio Concert, a floating live concert in the Baltimore Harbor featuring the irresistible funk and New Orleans jazz of Rufus Roundtree and Da Bmore Brass Factory. The band will perform aboard Urban Pirates’ flagship, starting near Canton Waterfront Park at 6 PM and cruising to Fells Point, the Inner Harbor, Federal Hill Park and Locust Point. The band is asking families to decorate an umbrella and to join them bouncing your creation and showing off your family pride on shore during the concert. Take a Stroll Around Ladew Gardens

Explore 22 acres of exquisite gardens and the nature trail at Ladew Gardens in Monkton. Currently, the Gardens are open Thursday thru Monday from 9 AM – 3 PM. You don’t even need to pack a picnic — you can order a picnic tote from The Classic Catering People. Check out the menu here and be sure to order 24 hours in advance.
