Interactive virtual program, designed for children in pre-K through 6th grade! Through unique objects, you’ll learn about the jobs of the conductor, station agent and engineer. The Very Picky Butterfly
11 AM – 11:15 AM | Virtual Event with Howard County Conservancy

Do you want to bring butterflies to your backyard? The solution, you see, is not so hard. Planting native plants for nectar and to host will make your yard a favorite place for butterflies! Jen Brown-Whale, Howard County Public School System Elementary Science Resource Teacher will spend 15 minutes with you, live on Facebook, to talk attracting butterflies, specifically the Monarch. Juneteenth: A Virtual Event

Juneteenth is a day of reflection, a day of renewal, a pride-filled day. It is a moment to appreciate the African American experience. It is inclusive of all races, ethnicities, and nationalities. Juneteenth serves as a reference point from which to measure and appreciate the progress and contributions made by African Americans to our society. The Juneteenth Celebration, now in its ninth year, grows larger every year. During the celebration, there are several opportunities to experience art and art performance though exhibitions, artisans, family art activities, music, dance and more. MORE

Discover the Instruments of West Africa with Amadou Kouyate. Amadou Kouyate is from the 150th generation of the Kouyate family of Manding Djali (oral historians/musicians of West Africa).
