10 Things to Do with Kids at Home This Weekend: May 1-3

Make May Day Baskets for Annapolis May Day at Home
Friday, May 1 | All Day

Anyone who’s been to Annapolis on May Day knows it’s one of their most beautiful days of the year. For decades, passersby have walked the streets of Downtown Annapolis camera in hand ready to capture the baskets of beautiful fresh cut flowers. Because people everywhere could use a pick-me-up right now, Visit Annapolis and the Garden Club of Old Annapolis Towne are encouraging all Marylanders, as well as individuals from across the country and around the world, to make the Annapolis May Day tradition their own this year by placing flowers on your doors, in your windows, or in front of your homes  this Friday May 1. Scatter the seeds of May Day joy and use flowers from your own garden and other items you may have around the house. Have the kids work their own May Day magic by coming up with drawings or creations for all to see. Here are videos on how to arrange your own May Day basket, kid-friendly May Day baskets, and more.
