Cool Fun at Home: Superheroes!
SUPER Acts of Kindness
With great power comes great responsibility. Grab your capes and ZOOM outside in search for good deeds to be done. Pick up trash in the yard, take a neighbor’s dog for a walk, gather sticks from the yard to help the lawn mowers, drop happy thoughts in mailboxes or draw happy pictures on sidewalks/driveways for all to enjoy. Kindness is a superpower we all have inside of us – get out there and use it! Check out more acts of kindness that you and your family can do HERE.
Be a Health Hero
Do your kids know that not all superheroes wear capes?!?! It’s true. Anyone who helps others is considered a hero and that includes your child. Talk to them about how they can help fight germs by washing their hands. Sing a song, make it fun, and get those bubbles going. (If you dress up as superheroes and wash your hands — send us video!) Check out this cool video and experiment that explains how soap propels germs.
Need some educational fun beyond the school packet worksheets? Download these fun (and FREE) Superhero STEAM activity cards from Left Brain Craft Brain. Your kids will be figuring out which materials in the house make the strongest shields and constructing Gotham City Scapes all afternoon.
Superhero Popsicle Stick Puppets
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…YOUR CHILD! Create a special popsicle Superhero Puppet with your child’s picture on it!. Check out this simple tutorial from gluedtomycrafts.com. Minutes to make and hours of fun. (Don’t have a popsicle stick, try a clothespin.)
