Maple Magic at Irvine Nature Center

There’s magic in the trees! Join Irvine’s naturalists in a quest to make delicious syrup. Learn to identify maple trees, properly tap a tree to collect its sugary sap and convert the sticky fluid into syrup. You’ll even get a taste of this liquid gold as a reward for all the hard work! Maple Magic at Ladew Gardens

Experience the “magic” of maple sugaring at Ladew Gardens! Head out to Ladew’s Nature Walk to identify trees, observe tapped maple trees, and collect some sap! Learn how to boil down the sap to make yummy, golden brown syrup. End the day with tasty treats of Ladew syrup, maple candy, and a pancake snack! Youth All-Sports Play Day

Goucher College will be hosting a Youth All-Sports Play Day for girls in fourth through eighth grade on Saturday, February 15 in the lower gymnasium in the Decker Sports And Recreation Center to celebrate National Girls And Women In Sports Day. The event is free and open to the public and the community. The events start at 12 p.m. and will conclude at 2 p.m. just in time for the Gophers women’s basketball home game against Moravian College.
