Container Gardens and Terrariums for Valentine’s Day

Benjamin Banneker Visits Hampton

Hampton National Historic Site

A native to Maryland, Benjamin Banneker is known as the “first African American man of science.” Banneker (November 9, 1731 – October 9, 1806) was a free African American scientist, surveyor, almanac author and farmer. Born in Baltimore County, Maryland, to a free African American woman and a former slave. Master Storyteller and former president of the Griots’ Circle of Maryland Inc., Bob Smith will bring Banneker to life while dressed in period attire. MORE

Navy Women’s Basketball vs Colgate University
