This holiday season, Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods is getting a frozen makeover, courtesy of the Ice Fairy.
Ice and Fire: A Winter Wonderland takes place on Saturday and Sunday evenings from November 30 to December 22, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. Families are invited to stroll through the Light Forest, get lost in the Light Maze, and be enthralled by the Ice Fairy and her friends. As you wander towards the Chrysalis, you’ll find a lighted dragon, fire pits, and a make your own s’mores station (additional purchase required).
Visit Santa on the Chrysalis stage. Encounter a variety of visitors from the fairy (and other) realms. Marvel at the 30 foot Tree of Light. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or warm cider (additional purchase required). This new holiday tradition is sure to be a magical experience for the whole family!
This event is part of the new Ice and Fire Festival, a community fundraiser for Howard County not-for-profits. The Festival helps raise money for the Inner Arbor Trust’s FREE community arts events (including the popular Chrysalis Kids Series) at Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods. 10% of ticket sales for the Ice and Fire Festival benefits Community Action Council of Howard County, which includes the Howard County Food Bank.
Advance purchase tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for children over the age of 4, and FREE for kids ages 3 and under. The prices are a few dollars higher at the door.
Free parking is available nearby; however, parking is assigned in advance via Eventbrite. We highly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance so that you can get your parking pass and tickets together. (Who needs more parking stress during the holiday season?)
