This year’s event will take place Friday, September 13 – Sunday, September 15, 2019. Join us as we commemorate Baltimore’s oldest holiday, which honors the successful defense of the city from British attack and the writing of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ in 1814! Port Discovery Children’s Museum

Port Discovery is taking part in a global Cardboard Challenge to celebrate imagination, creativity and the city of Baltimore! Through creative play, children will work together to build out of cardboard and other materials major Baltimore sites as well as their own neighborhoods, culminating in a day of play on where they put it all together. The Global Cardboard Challenge is an annual event presented by Imagination.org to celebrate child creativity and the role communities can play in fostering it. Watch the story of Caine’s Arcade that inspired this now international event, then come and join Port Discovery as they recreate Charm City. MORE

Super Science Sleepover: The Academy of Wizardry

Dominoes will be toppling at MSC on Saturday, September 14. World-renowned domino topple expert Scott Suko will be leading the creation of a dynamic domino topple design through our Harbor Lobby. Sensory Friendly Day at the B&O

The B&O offers Sensory Friendly Days for children and guests with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences. The Museum opens one hour earlier at 10am on this day to accommodate our special guests and their families. Staff will modify museum lights and sounds and post extra signs to give guests a more accessible experience. Additional volunteers and staff will be available to support visitors throughout their stay. Come and enjoy smaller crowds, specialized activities, less sound and light. MORE

Trucks for Tots
