Museum Day is an annual celebration where participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. See PRIDE make her grandstand homecoming sail into Baltimore’s iconic Inner Harbor!  Plan to be on the Baltimore waterfront to welcome our PRIDE home from her summer voyage in the Great Lakes. She will sail from Canton, past historic Fells Point, & into the Inner Harbor with her cannons announcing her homecoming to the people of Baltimore! The Ship will exchange a cannon salute with USS CONSTELLATION at 10:00 am. PRIDE II will be escorted by the Baltimore City Fire Department’s fire boat #1, JOHN R. FRAZIER. She will dock at Broadway Pier in Fells Point & open for free deck tours following a brief ceremony at 11 AM, remaining open until 4 PM. MORE

WTMD is thrilled to present a concert of songs from two of the greatest kids’ movies ever. Black Root Underground will perform songs from “The Lion King,” and Kristen Toedtman & Matt Hutchison and their band will do songs from “Aladdin.” This show is rain or shine, held at Power Plant Live’s enclosed outdoor plaza stage, where we held our Phish tribute for kids in June 2019 (check out this video from that show). Johnny Appleseed Festival

Each year, Weber’s Cider Mill Farm celebrates the beginning of the fall season with their annual, Johnny Appleseed Festival. As you probably know, the story goes that Johnny Appleseed (who’s real name was John Chapman) traveled about a great part of the country planting apple seeds. Johnny was a friend to everyone he met. Indians and settlers — even the animals — liked Johnny Appleseed. His clothes were made from sacks and his hat was a tin pot. He also used his hat for cooking. His favorite book was the Bible. Now there is a good chance that you may meet Johnny Appleseed (or at least, an actor portraying him) when you come to visit Weber’s Cider Mill Farm during the festival. Lots of fun activities for the whole family. Admission includes 1-hayride, and all day admission to the barnyard activity area with the straw maze, mini-straw maze, Hillside Slide, Duck Races, and more. MORE

Aviation Open Cockpit and Flea Market Day

Open Cockpit Day is exciting aviation fun for all ages at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum at Martin State Airport.
