Check out AVAM’s Visionary Pets on Parade
Dogs, cats, salamanders, and more — all dressed in their red, white and blues — and their favorite mini-mes. Could it get any cuter? Bring your four-legged-friend and march in the parade or watch the action from the sidelines. Either way, this is a super fun Baltimore tradition. Thursday at 9 AM! 4 on the 4th and 1776 Family Fun Run in Towson
Kick off the long holiday weekend with a family fun run. Before the annual Towson 4th of July parade, run the parade route and enjoy Towson University’s trails! MORE

Ride a Bike in the Annual Catonsville 4th of July Parade
If you’re a Catonsville resident, chances are your chairs have been saving your parade spot for days now. The Catonsville 4th of July Parade is the largest in the region with over 120 entries. Catonsville’s parade features a dozen marching bands, a variety of organizations, floats, antique cars, and so much more. Parade begins at 3 p.m. — but the kids games start at 9:30 AM! Decorated Bike Contest, Lollipop Scramble, Quarter Hunt, Ball on Spoon Race, Shoe Scramble, Leapfrog, Wheelbarrow and Sack Races, Water Balloon Toss for all ages. Prizes for the winners!! All kids who decorate bikes are encouraged to ride in parade at 3 p.m. {Um, seriously, how (cool) is that?!?!} MORE

Celebrate on the Water at Middle Branch Park
Experience the shores of the Middle Branch as the skies come alive with music, art and fireworks! Enjoy the Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival from 1 PM – 10 PM. Check out art on the Hanover Street Bridge from 1 PM – 9 PM. Then catch the fireworks from Port Covington! MORE

Petting Zoo, pony rides, moon bounce, face painting, and MORE! The Weinberg JCC is ready to celebrate the 4th! Discounted prices for members in honor of membership appreciation week. The fun is from 10 AM – 2 PM (which gets you home for a pre-fireworks late afternoon nap!) MORE

Red, White, and Zoo!
Head to the Maryland Zoo for a day of special animal enrichment! Watch as the Zoo’s animals receive special Fourth of July treats, including “fishsicles” and paper mache toys, and listen as zookeepers explain the importance of enrichment activities. This event is FREE with Zoo admission or membership. MORE

Join the Watermelon Eating Contest During Bel Air’s Independence Day Celebration
From blueberry pancake breakfasts to family watermelon eating contests to the 4th of July Parade to bike rodeos and fireworks — the town of Bel Air has a full day of fam-friendly fun planned for Independence Day! MORE

Summer in the Squares: Fourth of July Concert and Picnic!
Head to Mt. Vernon Square for an old fashioned concert and picnic! Music, refreshments, and more. Celebrate Independence Day with two Baltimore-based ensembles, each representing an iconic genre in the history of American music. The fun starts at 6 PM and wraps up just before the city fireworks. MORE

Family-Friendly Party at the BMI
Enjoy a fun, family-friendly celebration and the BEST VIEW of the fireworks from the Baltimore Museum of Industry’s beautiful waterfront campus. Delicious refreshments and beer & wine for sale, or bring your own picnic. 6 PM – 10 PM. MORE

Ports America Chesapeake 4th of July Celebration
Commemorate the Declaration of Independence with a live music performance and fireworks display in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Starting at 7pm, the U.S. Navy Jazz Band Commodores perform classic and today’s top hits at Inner Harbor Amphitheater at Pratt and Light streets. At 9:30pm, fireworks brighten up the night sky over downtown Baltimore. The 15-minute display is produced by fireworks company Pyrotecnico and choreographed to music.
