Baltimore & The Underground Railroad, a FREE guided walking tour from the non-profit community organization Baltimore History & Culture! Please join us for a FREE, educational and entertaining, two-hour guided walking tour focusing on Underground Railroad activities in Baltimore, Greater Maryland and Washington, DC. In addition, they’ll also briefly discuss local slavery and emancipation history, both of which provide an important context for understanding the Underground Railroad. MORE

Ship’s Company 1812 Day
Saturday, July 20 | 10 AM – 4 PM | Historic Ships

Join Ship’s Company’s 1812 unit aboard USS Constellation as they depict and describe the role of Sailors during the War in the Chesapeake during 1812-1814, as well as the history of Constellation’s predecessor the US Frigate Constellation (1797-1853). This presentation is open to all visitors and is included with regular admission. No reservations are required. MORE

Camp out in Herring Run Park! Baltimore Rec and Parks is looking for the most creative campsite set ups. Prizes will be awarded. The Friends of Herring Run Park will serve as judges for most creative and best campsite. Pack up your friends and family and your gear. BCRP will host a campfire and marshmallows. Space is limited. Nature Quest Hike at Oregon Ridge Nature Center

Get a head start on your Nature Quest passport at our naturalist lead hike to the two Nature Quest post locations at Oregon Ridge. Nature Quest is a county-wide program that guides participants to trail markers at Baltimore County parks. Passports and details are available at the Nature Center or online. Calling all kids aged 2-5!  B’More SUP has a fun morning on the water planned for you! Amber will lead this family paddle to the park on Saturday, July 20th. The idea is to have your kids on the board with you while you paddle- when you register for a board that includes one board which you will paddle as your child sits on the front. Life jackets are required for all kids- please bring your own as they do not supply life jackets for this age/size.  This special event is limited to 6 families. MORE

Community Movie Night at Towson University
Saturday, July 20 | 6 PM – 10 PM | Unitas Stadium at Towson University

Towson University is hosting a community movie night for Baltimore area families! Head to Johnny Unitas Stadium to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse! You can bring a blanket and sit on the field, or lawn chairs and sit on the track. Guests are invited to bring food into the stadium. Hotdogs, beverages and Rita’s Italian Ice will be provided free of charge to the first 200 in attendance. In addition, entertainment will include inflatables, balloon creations, a photo booth and face painting. Guests are encouraged to bring school supplies — including three-ring binders, markers, pencils, pens, crayons, notebook paper, folders (with or without brads), highlighters, scissors, rulers, pencil containers and book bags — for donation to The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools. Nature Quest Hike at Lake Roland
