Colonial Market Day
Saturday, July 27 | 10 AM – 4 PM | Maryland Historical Society

Hear ye! Hear ye! The Maryland Historical Society is transforming its courtyard into a Colonial Market Square. People of all ages will enjoy living history interpreters, demonstrations, games, crafts and vendors. Free for MdHS members, and $5 for nonmembers, including museum admission. Limited free parking is available in the MdHS parking lot. Rain date is Saturday, August 3. MORE

Weis Markets presents: Wild About Keepers
Saturday, July 27 | 10 AM – 4 PM | The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore

From enormous elephants to chirpy crickets, the keepers at The Maryland Zoo work tirelessly to ensure that every single animal has the best day every day. Join us on July 27th to learn about the variety of tasks our keepers perform and to participate in hands-on activities to get a feel for the unique and exciting work they do. Guests will also be able to meet keepers all throughout the Zoo as they share their stories—Plus, guests dressed up as keepers for the day will earn buttons at every keeper chat they attend! Come out and join The League for People with Disabilities for a fun, family event featuring arts & crafts, food & games, face painting, moon bounce, cotton candy and much more. They will spend the day having a blast while strengthen our community ties and celebrating with each other everything that makes our community unique, diverse and wonderful. Explore The Reginald F. Lewis Museum with (coo) progeny! In addition to the exhibits, enjoy a performance by Dance Baltimore and storytelling with Diane Macklin. The 2019 Harford County Farm Fair is celebrating 32 years! The farm fun takes place July 22-27 with livestock, horse shows, barnyard bingo, fashion shows, pie eating contests, and more. Family Creek Fun & Picnic Open House
Saturday, July 27 | 10 AM – 12 PM | Sharp’s at Waterford Farm

Begin your adventure by feeding the farm animals then grab your picnic lunch and hop aboard a hayride to the Cattail Creek. Make sure you wear old tennis shoes or water shoes as we go into the creek to catch a variety of the critters that live there. After catching the critters, you’ll take time to identify what has been found, and learn about their habitats and life cycles. After you release the critters, you are invited to stay and picnic alongside the creek! (If you are unable to stay for lunch, they will bring you back to the barnyard!). Ages 3 and up. Adults attending with children are free. Children 18 months & under are free. MORE
