Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance is offering city parents not one but TWO opportunities to connect and learn next week.
New parent? Expecting? Join them for their May “New Babies on the Block” Happy Hour. This month, they’ll be meeting at Brass Tap on Mt. Royal Avenue on Tuesday, May 14th from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Parents of new progeny will be able to learn about services available to them, share some hors d’oeuvres on DBFA, learn about what is in store for families this summer, and get a chance to meet your child’s future playground playmates.
Have older kids? Curious what adventures in middle and high school lay ahead for you and your child? Don’t let the strain of school and standardize tests stress you and your family out as you stare into your crystal ball and try to predict the future. Join DBFA for the return of “Meet the Big Kids” Night! On Wednesday, May 15th, parents and students will have an opportunity hear from the Fund For Educational Excellence about how to navigate the middle and high school application processes — as well as hear from current city school students. They will be gathering in the upstairs room of Mother’s Grille in Fed Hill. Program will begin around 6pm. This event is ideal for parents and children in grades 3 – 8. Food will be provided.
