Flower Mart

With its long history, Flower Mart is part of the traditions of Mount Vernon Place, and the oldest ongoing festival in the city of Baltimore. When it was begun in 1911 it was mounted to encourage home gardens, with the planting of flowers and vegetables, as well as to encourage growing these plants on vacant lots in the city. The Conservancy has revived that relevant mission in putting on this year’s festival.  This year’s vendors include flower and plants vendors, arts and crafts celebrating flowers and plants, non-profit organizations supporting the greening of the city, food, beer and wine.
