Join them on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s  ROAR for Kids, a 5K run and low-mileage walk for individuals of all ages.  Even more fun? They are embracing the lush natural surroundings at Oregon Ridge Park with a jungle theme. Dress up like your favorite wild animal to win prizes and join in the fun! Let your imagination run wild! The Champions For Children 5K Race/Walk is sponsored by the advisory Board to the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for the Anne Arundel County Family Assistance Fund, which supports privately funded programs that benefit children and youth served by DSS. 100% of their net proceeds this year will benefit Harmony House, which provides a safe and comfortable setting where children and youth in foster care can visit with their families during the reunification process. This event is a kid-friendly and stroller friendly run. MORE

Baltimore City Rec and Parks is please to bring back the $5 5K Series for 2019! Now in their fourth year, BCRP looks forward to bringing nine city-wide 5K events taking place in Baltimore parks  from March – December. Their May 11th race is all about MOMS!  Grab your family, friends, co-workers and fellow park enthusiasts to enjoy one of our runners and walkers alike will enjoy the fresh air, community engagement, fitness and fun. Strides for Spencer – 5th Annual Event

This one isn’t quite a 5K, but it’s a great family event! The Spencer Grace Foundation and Gilman School invite everyone to participate in the 5th Annual Strides for Spencer. Keep Punching, is a 100% volunteered-based organization that supports patients, healthcare providers, and researchers in their fight to prevent and eradicate brain cancer and minimize treatment-related side effects that many impact function and comfort. Funds raised assist brain cancer patients and families; providers who are pursuing integrative approaches to healing; and researchers who are investigating traditional and complementary cancer-related therapies. 2019 Stoneleigh Stampede

The Stoneleigh Community is hosting its 19th Annual 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk. The course begins and finishes in the heart of Historic Stoneleigh. This year’s charity beneficiary is CASA. Harford County Running Club, the Harford County running affiliate of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) conducts the Bel Air Town Run (BATR) 5K as a community event to promote health , fitness and running. Both the 5K race and the 1 mile fun run/walk courses are around beautiful Centennial Park located off Route 108 in Ellicott City, Maryland.
