Little Lion Challenge Day 2019

Small Acts of Kindness make a BIG ROAR! Now in it’s 6th Year, Little Lion Challenge Day is an opportunity to celebrate being kind. Join thousands from across the world as they perform a random act of kindness. Little Lion Challenge was founded by Heather and Patrick Walsh (from (cool) progeny) in honor of their son, Brennan. Brennan was born with a rare birth defect that required 111 days in a neonatal intensive care unit, several surgeries, and a tracheostomy. During that time, it was the little roars — small progresses he made each day and the small acts of kindness — that made all the difference to their family. As a way of saying thanks to all of those who helped them, they established Little Lion Challenge. He’s now a smart, funny, precocious, speedy, empathetic, lego-loving soon-to-be-6 kid! And there is no better way to celebrate than by putting a little love back into the world. MORE

In this fast-paced show, we meet Jackie Robinson, the man who broke the color barrier in professional baseball. Audiences will enjoy this portrayal of his determina- tion, despite seemingly insurmountable racism. The story is driven by Branch Rickey, the owner of the Dodgers who dared to sign Robinson, who guides Robinson while believing in him and his talent. Many characters move in and out of the story that both support Robinson, and attempt to keep him down. Robinson’s use of nonvio- lence and unquestionable talent challenged the rules of segregation, and therefore impacted American life. MORE
