Arr, mateys! We’re almost halfway through our #CoolSummerFun and are ready for some enchantment. We’ll be sharing our favorite places to see pirates and fairies in Baltimore, hosting a pirate and fairy tea party at Emma’s Tea Spot, making fairy houses, and getting the kid-scoop on Mt. Washington Tavern’s Crustacean Invasion. Ready yer sea legs… it’s going to a be a fun week!

Monday

Anitgravity Class for Kids

Each class Anti-Gravity Kids class, will allow students to have fun learning new poses, practice acquired skills, and fine-tune their understanding of flying. Anti-Gravity for Kids builds confidence, strength, and expands the imagination resulting in a balanced sense of self. Jungle Express at EcoAdventures

My Grown-Up and Me: Under the Sea
10:30 AM – 12 PM | Francis Scott Key Elementary and Middle School | Locust Point

Looking for a fun opportunity for your child this summer? FSK PreK teacher Ms. Sines will host a number of “My Grownup and Me” classes for kids age 2-5 years old with their caretakers. This week’s theme is Under the Sea. All classes are at FSK and are open to all children ages 2-5 years old. Donations of $7 per child are asked to cover materials for the class. MORE

Make Tuesday: Slime Time
2 PM – 3 PM | Baltimore County Public Library | Pikesville

Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A

It’s Chick-Fil-A’s annual Cow Appreciation Day where you can dress up like a Cow to receive a free entree*! Show them your best bovine! #Popscope Public Astronomy Night

#Popscope is an urban movement that aims to reconnect diverse communities to the night sky and to each other by hosting free, “pop-up” telescope astronomy nights in public spaces. MORE

Pirate and Fairy Tea Pop-Up Play Date
10 AM – 11 AM | Emma’s Tea Spot | Hamilton

Ahoy, Mateys! Don you best pirate or fairy garb and head to Emma’s Tea Spot for a morning tea party! This pop-up play date is for Summer Passport Holders and is limited to 35 children. Children will enjoy a complimentary tea and biscuit, create a mini garden in a tea cup, and enjoy a story. Tea and goodies will be available for purchase for the adults. Drop-In Drum Circle or Ukulele Class
Times Vary | STAGES Music Arts

Don’t be square, join the circle! Stages Drop-In Drum Circle class will introduce basic hand-drumming techniques and rhythms. Students will also practice free-style drumming with other percussion instruments. No experience required. Ages 5+. Have a kiddo who wants to learn to strum? It’s easy to play the ukulele! Their $5 Drop-in Ukulele class is a fun and welcoming group class is for beginners ages 8+! (Parents, you can join the fun!) No experience needed. Don’t have a Ukulele? Use one of theirs. MORE

FutureMakers Presents: DIY Electronic Sound Machines

Artist Ingo Swann had the ability to view places remotely, such as describing Jupiter’s rings, moons, and atmosphere years before the arrival of Voyager. His paintings reflect his fascination with the mysterious universe.
