Welcome to Week One of #CoolSummerFun! This week is all about how to GET OUTSIDE this summer! We’ll be sharing our favorite playgrounds, hiking trails, how to fit your child for a bike, where to dine al fresco and more — all week long!

Here are some events that will get you outside this week!

TUESDAY

Stretches and Strawberries

Head to Brad’s Farm Market on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at 6 p.m. for an evening of feel-good stretches and fresh strawberries on the Farm! Nomad Fitness and Brad’s Farm Market are partnering to bring Erin Leach from Mama Bear Yoga to lead a 45-minute family yoga session for an adult and child. Brad’s Farm Market is giving each pair of participants a quart of fresh-picked Brad’s strawberries! MORE

WEDNESDAY

Shapes in Nature at Ladew Gardens

Look all around. What do you see? We will take a shape walk and play “I Spy” to help recognize familiar shapes in our outdoor world.Nature Preschool programs are open to children ages 2-6 with an adult. Classes include nature walks, stories, songs, and other activities.  Nature ABC’s and 1,2,3’s and movement activities are part of the fun. Space is still available in the 12:30-1:30 pm session. MORE

THURSDAY

Stream Searching at Oregon Ridge Nature Center

Plant the seeds of knowledge while learning basic skills and playing in the dirt with your little tots. They’ll have a different nature related theme every week. This week is all about stream searching! Ages 3+. $2/child. MORE

FRIDAY

Mother Nature Story Hour

Join Carrie Murray Nature Center for their monthly Mother Nature Story Hour! Designed for ages birth to five with caregiver. FREE! MORE

Free Pure Play Every (Fri)Day!

Little hands love little things. Let your kids’ imagination soar with loose parts play, featuring sand and water tables, bubbles, art, building toys, imagination playground, and more! FREE Facilitated play happens every Friday from 11am – 2pm at West Shore Park, next to the Walter Sondheim Fountain. MORE
