Baltimore Restaurant Week is back! Before you book the sitter and book a table for two, consider taking the kids with you. (Say what?!?) Trust us. Restaurant Week is a great time to get your kiddos in on the city’s foodie scene.  Not familiar with Restaurant Week? Let us bring you up to speed. Through January 21, participating restaurants in Baltimore City are offering two-course brunch and lunch menus range from $12-20, and three-course dinner menus range from $20-$35. Harbor Point Ice Festival

Central Plaza in Harbor Point will come alive for the Harbor Point Ice Festival! The plaza will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland with twinkling lights, ice sculptures lining the walkways, live music, food & drink, kids crafts, and more! Watch the excitement as award-winning ice sculptors use chainsaws and chisels to create spectacular ice sculptures, and vote on your favorite! Ice sculptures will be available for viewing and voting the entire weekend (Friday – Sunday, weather permitting). MORE

Honoring Poe’s 209th Birthday

Join Poe Baltimore and EDGAR ALLAN POE: EVERMORE as they gather to toast the 209th Birthday of Edgar Allan Poe in the historic Westminster Graveyard! Dress accordingly as this is an outside event! Beginning at 6 PM,  Poe fans will gather at the cemetery for a free, LIVE toast to Edgar on his 209th birthday! Immediately after the tribute is read, those in attendance will raise their glasses in an apple cider Toast to Poe provided by Poe Baltimore.  The event is FREE to attendees, with toast cups and non-alcoholic cider to be provided. This event is standing room only! You’ll want to linger among the dead at the conclusion of this event to witness the arrival of the mysterious Poe Toaster who will be making his annual nighttime visit to the Poe Monument at 7 PM. Davenport’s PJ Book Party Benefiting the Ronald McDonald House

Join Davenport Preschool on Saturday, January 20th from 10:00-12:00 for their FREE, all-school and community event!  They ask that all attendees wear their pajamas and arrive with a NEW children’s book for donation. Frozen Fest

Robinson Nature Center puts the “cool” in winter with this fun, family-oriented festival. Explore their “Snowball ally” and all things frozen through fun experiments. Enjoy an ice-sculpting demo by Kevin’s Catering, and make your own ice cream sandwich! Create tracks in the snow, and take guided winter hikes along the trails. Check out the cold-blooded creatures that live at the nature center through live animal presentations. Get cozy while watching a movie in the NatureSphere full-dome theater.
