TUESDAY
Tot Tuesday: Paint a Pumpkin
10 AM – 2 PM | Kiddie Crusoe | Cockeysville
Enjoy Kiddie Crusoe’s all day open play enhanced with extra activities and toys designed specifically for our youngest adventurers! Kiddie City is stocked with additional hands-on toys, including push walkers, poppers, and our ride on train! Participation in additional activities is optional and may include: circle time with parachute, bubble time, and art and sensory activities. This is more than just open play, this is hands-on fun and sure to be a blast for children 3 years and younger and their caregiver(s). Paint a Pumpkin is an optional add-on for $5/child. Monarch Tag & Release
10 AM – 10:30 AM | Maryland Farm Park | Cockeysville
Meet University of Maryland Extension Service staff in the demonstration garden and learn how to protect monarchs by raising larvae and tagging adults. Watch newly emerged monarchs take to the skies. Every Wednesday starting August 16 and running thru October 25 at 10 am weather permitting (monarchs do not fly in colder temperatures or the rain) there will be a tag and release. MORE

All Day | Participating McDonald’s Restaurants in Greater Baltimore
Chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers for a cause. 25% of all food sales on October 11th will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities and support the new Ronald McDonald House being built in East Baltimore. Eucabeth Odhiambo will be at The Ivy on Thursday promoting Auma’s Long Run. Auma loves to run. In her small Kenyan village, she’s a track star with big dreams. When she wins a track scholarship that will allow her to attend high school, and maybe even become a doctor, new possibilities beckon. But a strange new sickness called AIDS is ravaging the village and, when her father becomes ill, Auma’s family needs her help at home. Ages 10-13. Eucabeth Odhiambo is a professor of Teacher Education at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. As a classroom teacher, she has taught all grades between kindergarten and middle school.
