Kids XC Series: Gilman School

The Charm City Run Kids X-Country Series consists of seven races for girls and boys 12 and under. While top runners in each group win medals, the series is intended to be a fun, non-competitive, family-friendly introduction to running and all runners will “win” ribbons. Third Annual Fit-n-Family Fun Day

The gum-shaped structures with holes in their walls serve as a home base for critters that filter contaminants in waterways. Dozens of aviators from the Southwest Area Park (SWAP) Modelers will teach you how to taxi, take off and soar the skies as you guide model planes – some up to 10 feet long – hundreds of feet in the air. When you’re not piloting a plane, witness the aerial maneuvers of the skilled pilots as they dip, flip and bank their planes high overhead in a “Fun Fly Competition.” The Fly-In will include delicious grilled foods, cold beverages and a raffle for an R/C plane. Family Farm Day

Family Farm Day is a one-day festival celebrating all things agriculture. Drawing over 5,000 visitors from throughout central Maryland, the festival has something to offer attendees of all ages including great food, music, exhibitions, tractor rides, art and craft vendors and educational programs. At Family Farm Day visitors can listen to the sounds of live music, browse the offerings of a sugar maple lined alee featuring locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, meats, and cheeses.
