Hundreds of moms — and those that love them — are expected at Baltimore’s new Eager Park this Saturday morning for the second annual “Momma Move” event.
What is Momma Move? Dubbed by founder and East Baltimore mom Erin Galloway as the ‘ultimate mommy meet-up,’ it’s a morning of fun, fitness, and celebration the whole family will love.
“I launched Momma Move to demonstrate how we can live curiously and be courageous both as a woman and mothers,” said Erin. “Becoming a mother does not have to limit our potential; it can actually make us more capable! Our instincts become stronger, our purpose becomes clearer, and our tribe becomes more valuable. We realize life is no longer about “you” but you don’t have to lose you.”
Erin, who is also the founder of social media platform Pump the Bump, says that Momma Move is her “act local” commitment to same “think global” messaging she expresses through Pump the Bump.
Momma Move is completely free to the community. Activities include a one-mile fun run with Girls on the Run (stroller friendly!), stretching with XPF Dance2Fitness, mini sessions with Baltimore Yoga, crossfit with Seya Crossfit, total body toning session, and yoga with Core Power Yoga. Chef Bryce Taylor will be demonstrating healthy snack ideas, Pixalated will have a photobooth, there will be Knockerball and lawn games — a long with a host of mother’s day crafting stations kids will love.
The fun starts at 8 AM! Be sure to register in advance and let them know you’re coming (and be eligible for giveaways).
