Where all the fun happens in Towson! Head out to Allegheny Avenue and experience great weather, great music, and a great community. The city’s summer concerts feature local cover bands and have the crowd dancing all night. Feet on the Street also features a bar with a variety of beers, wine, and cocktails as well as a moon bounce and face painting. Bring your friends and family for a fabulous Friday night! Celebrate with us at the Square for the place to be on Friday nights in Baltimore, featuring live music from the region’s top and newest bands and the restaurants and market merchants of Belvedere Square. Enjoy the music on the patio at the new Starlite Diner. Savor ice cream and Summer Shandy (lemonade and wheat beer) from Atwater’s, crawfish boil from Tooloulou, kombucha by the glass and fermented snacks from Hex and chocolate ice tea and Mexican Chocolate Paletas from Jinji. Stoneleigh Stampede

The Stoneleigh Community is hosting its 17th Annual 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk. The course begins and finishes in the heart of Historic Stoneleigh. Lots of encouragement provided throughout the course and cold refreshments provided at the end! This year’s charity beneficiary is Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). Half of the net race proceeds will be donated to this charity and the remaining half benefits the Stoneleigh Community Association. MORE

The 34th Annual Sowebo Festival

Baltimore’s always free and utterly unique Sowebo Arts and Music Festival is gearing up to return this Memorial Day Weekend. Located in the heart of Southwest Baltimore, the Sowebo Arts and Music Festival will be the prefect way to welcome the summer. This year’s festival features three stages of musical acts where performers of varying heritages will present pieces unique to their cultures. Some of the city’s best visual artists will also display their work in an un-juried and uncensored art show. Young art lovers will get to enjoy interactive arts and crafts, including face painting and puppet performances in Kid’s Alley. MORE
