Taking a family trip the Aquarium just got a little easier on the wallet — the National Aquarium announced today the return of “Pay What You Want Day” on November 6, 2016! Made possible with the generous support of T. Rowe Price, the Aquarium’s official community engagement partner, this annual program allows residents to donate an amount of their choice for Aquarium admission.
Last year, more than 7,500 guests took advantage of the occasion.
Patrons who visit the Aquarium on Pay What You Want Day are also $10 parking at partner parking facilities. Just bring proof of your Aquarium visit to the LAZ Inner Harbor Garage at 100 S. Gay Street or Lockwood Parking at 124 Market Place, and garage staff will provide a ticket for $10 exit.
Pay What You Want Day is part of a collection of community access programs offered by the Aquarium. Other programs include:
- Half-Price Friday Nights, presented by M & T Bank, which offers guests special pricing on Friday nights after 5 p.m.
- Maryland Mornings, which launched in 2012 and runs from September through February, providing Maryland residents who visit before noon Sunday to Friday $10 off adult tickets and $5 off senior/children tickets
- Dollar Days, where visitors can enjoy a $1 admission fee for two days every December in conjunction with many other local cultural organizations.
Of course, if you frequent the Aquarium, the best deal in town is an Aquarium membership.
