It’s finally here! We all look forward to this event that sparks imagination, encourages creativity and immerses our city in all things art. Just in case you didn’t know, Artscape is America’s largest free arts festival, attracting 350,000+ attendees over three days. Artscape features 150+ fine artists, fashion designers and craftspeople; visual art exhibits on and off-site, including exhibitions, outdoor sculpture, art cars, photography and the Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize; incredible live concerts on outdoor stages; a full schedule of performing arts including dance, opera, theater, film, experimental music and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; family events such as hands-on projects, demonstrations, competitions, children’s entertainers and street theater; and a delicious, international menu of food and beverages that is available throughout the festival site. Pokémon at the Baltimore County Public Library

On Friday July 22nd, Baltimore County Public Library celebrates Pokémon GO with Ready, Set Pokémon GO! — a systemwide PokéCrawl. Chuggington @ The B & O Railroad Museum

Chuggington A Traintastic Adventure returns to the B&O Railroad Museum for train rides, adventures, and challenges. Partnering with Rail Events Inc. and Ludorum plc, the B&O Railroad Museum is proud to host this immersive event inspired by the television show Chuggington. The event, Chuggington A Traintastic Adventure brings the show to life as families are immersed into the world of Chuggington. PokeParty/Summer Social at West Shore Park
This Friday (July 15th), Waterfront Partnership invites lovers of Pokémon to gather at West Shore Park at the Inner Harbor from 5:00PM – 8:00PM for an evening of food, drinks, free live music and all the Pokémon they can catch. As a special addition to its monthly Summer Social concert series, Waterfront Partnership will strategically attract Pokémon to West Shore Park by setting a series of lures, an in-game tool that brings Pokemon to a specific location. Waterfront Partnership will set off lures every 30 minutes at the three Pokestops located in West Shore Park beginning at 5:00PM.  The nearby Maryland Science Center is also a Pokegym where players can battle their newly caught pocket monsters. PokémonGO @ Cylburn

All teams are welcome and admission is free! Head to Cylburn Arboretum for Pokémon adventure on Saturday from 1:30 – 2:30 PM. The arboretum has five gyms, over a dozen Poké-stops, and TONS of Pokémon. Start at the mansion at 1:30pm. They’ll have lures set up throughout the arboretum, so be ready to explore. Keep your eyes open, stay on the trails, and be respectful of other visitors. Plus, every week they offer themed weekend activities for children of all ages at the Cylburn Arboretum Nature Museum, located in the historic Carriage House. The topic for this Saturday is “Birds in Your Back Yard.” MORE

Head to McKeldin Fountain on July 16th to catch some Pokémon and learn more about parkour from 6 PM -7 PM! The pokestops in the area will have lure mods on them, and some of Urban Evolutions athletes will be practicing parkour in the area. Simple as that! MORE

While strolling through Maryland’s largest producers-only market (producers-only meaning all vendors make what they sell), shoppers can revel at the sight of a vast quantity of foods, including crisp seasonal fruits and vegetables, poultry, seafood, beef, pork, lamb, bison, goat, rabbit, fresh baked goods, flavorful herbs and organically raised and produced milk, yogurt, butter, eggs and cheese products. Additionally, dozens of food vendors add spice to the market with multicultural cuisine such as popular pit beef sandwiches, omelets and breakfast burritos, crepes, wood fired pizzas, pies and quiches, soups, noodles and dumplings.
