Paint Annapolis

Paint Annapolis is a five-day juried plein air painting competition held May 30 – June 5, 2016, that brings to Annapolis plein air painters from around the world. For 14 years it has been a premier event, bringing people together to share in the spirit and vibrancy of outdoor painting. The event is designed to explore in paint the colonial architecture, marine atmosphere, and overall energy of Maryland’s capital city and a former capital of the United State. MORE

Take a closer look at the Sun. Yes, the sun! Safely look at the Sun and its features—such as sunspots and prominences—through a special set of filters on our telescope. The Observatory is open to museum visitors every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, weather permitting. Admission is included with Science Center admission. Music in The Woods

Enjoy the sounds of music on a beautiful afternoon into evening at Oregon Ridge. The Nature Center hosts this annual event inviting local musicians and bands to perform at this family-friendly festival. New this year is the change from May to June and a daytime event into an event that plays into the evening. Federal Hill Jazz & Blues Festival
