On Saturday, May 21, 2016, Doulas of Baltimore will host the 1st Annual No Child Wet Behind Diaper Drive and 5k on the beautiful Gwynns Falls Trail. In addition to children’s activities, a shopping boutique, food and more, this community event will bring together our many supporters and partners in order to raise awareness about the many babies in need of clean, dry diapers throughout the greater Baltimore area. The Color Run Baltimore

Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life, The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. Child race kits available! 

Cool Kids Campaign Courageous 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run

The Cool Kids Courageous Run includes a family friendly 5K and a 1-mile fun run/walk that begin at 8 am. This hilly cross country course on the grassy fields at Oregon Ridge Park will be professionally timed by Charm City Run and is perfect for walkers and families. This course may be a challenge at times, but remember, it’s easier than one round of chemo! All registered participants will receive a cotton race t-shirt before the start and receive a cold wash cloth at the finish line. All children will also receive a medal at the finish! After the races, everyone is welcome to join in the fun festival that features a live DJ, food spread, and outdoor games for the entire family!

Tractor Trot 5K Cross Country Farm Run

Winding through the 149 acre Baltimore County Farm Park this challenging course will take runners through a stunning landscape complete with rolling hills, hundred year old oaks, pastures, crops, barns, wetlands and more. Tractors of all ages will line the route, adding to the fun.  This fun for the whole family event will include a 1-mile fun run for the kids and a post-race picnic with music, food, and refreshments (you can bring your own – or purchase on site) as well as special guests from the Baltimore County Police Department including a police helicopter, patrol cars, farm animals  and more. Race benefits the Police Assistance Relief Fund (PAR Fund)  and the Maryland Agricultural Resource Council (MARC).  

Stoneleigh Stampede 5K

The 16th Annual Stoneleigh Stampede! The course begins and finishes in the heart of Historic Stoneleigh. This year’s charity beneficiary is Hopewell Cancer Support. Half of the net race proceeds will be donated to this charity and the remaining half benefits the Stoneleigh Community Association. Participants will have a rolling course through the beautiful streets of our community. The 1-mile walk will be on sidewalks and is open to participants of all ages. Water, refreshments and lots of encouragement will be provided. Strollers allowed!

MissionPossible 5K and Color Run

A professional 5K road race and a festive fun  1 mile COLOR FUN run with four color stations and giant color blast at the end!  Start in white and finish as a modern day Picasso! Feel free to run in one or both the professionally timed 5K and the non-timed Color fun run. Families and children to sign up. Strollers welcome. Children 5 and under are free with accompanying paid adult, and do not need to register. They will receive a wrist band on race day (but not a t-shirt or race bag). Sponsored by Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church in Reisterstown, MD & 100% of proceeds benefit youth missions. 

Schechter on the Move 5k Race and 1 Mile Fun Run

A fun event to support Krieger Schecter Day School! Individual and family race packages available. Post-race festivities will include a celebration with free food, refreshments and activities including moon bounces, face painting and “water” tag. All runners registered by Tuesday, May 10 will receive a race t-shirt. Shirts not guaranteed after this date. Water stop and mile markers along the course. Babysitting offered for children 2 and over with pre-registration. The 5K is closed to bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, and pets. Strollers may be used.

Running with the Devils

This year, 800 families will turn to The Red Devils to help their loved ones enter or remain in treatment for breast cancer. You can be one of 800 walkers or runners whose individual efforts will make an immediate impact on their journey.  RUNNING WITH THE DEVILS is a family-friendly, 5K or 1 mile run/walk raising money to help THE RED DEVILS pay for patients’ transportation to treatment, meals and groceries, house cleanings, medical expenses, and other services that can be obstacles or burdens as they go through treatment.

GBMC Father’s Day 5K

GBMC’s 28th annual Father’s Day 5K benefits their NICU and the approximately 400 babies that are treated there each year. With 12 rooms in the NICU, there is always equipment that needs updating, new technologies to incorporate and resources critical for these more fragile babies, who require 24/7 care. Course will run through GBMC campus and the surrounding area. 

Towson 4 on the 4th

Declare your independence from the same old holiday routine and join the fun at the inaugural Towson Four on the Fourth 4 mile run (walkers welcome!) and 1776 (feet) Family/Kid’s Fun Run. The race begins in the heart of Towson at the courthouse and takes you on a tour of the parade route as well as Towson University campus before finishing back at the courthouse in time to join your family and friends at the reviewing stand to enjoy the 4th of July parade.  Proceeds of the race benefit the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, CanCerve and the Towson Chamber of Commerce.  

Casey Cares and Baltimore Orioles 5K Run/Walk

Lace up your running shoes for an incredible cause! The Casey Cares
and Orioles 7th Annual 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, August 6th at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in partnership with OriolesREACH. Proceeds of the event benefit the Casey Cares Foundation, which provides uplifting and ongoing programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families. The chip-timed 3.1 mile run/walk begins and ends at Oriole Park at Camden Yards (with an on-field finish!) and includes post-race refreshments. Half-price registration for children ages 8 and under, but they do not receive a race t-shirt.
