One of the values of a girls-only education? That the girls enrolled in the school see themselves — and their peers — as leaders. And they graduate with the expectation that women will be leaders.
Roland Park Country School, a leading girls-only independent school in Baltimore, is opening their doors to prospective families next week. The K-12 school is dedicated to the intellectual and moral development of its students, offering “An Education Above.”
“What sets us apart is that we have a rigorous and nurturing learning environment. We are the only school that offers Chinese, Arabic and Russian. We offer 24 AP courses,” said Nancy Mugele, assistant head of school for external relations.
RPCS offers small class sizes (averaging 12-18 students) where students can get hands-on attention from teachers. They have a rich and relevant curricular and co-curricular program, offering 16 varsity sports and the only crew rowing tank in a high school in Maryland.
In addition to their regular program, RPCS offers a STEM Institute where students graduate with a separate certificate and a Foreign Language Certificate for students who want to study two languages.
“The Spring Open House is a wonderful opportunity for prospective families to visit classrooms and observe firsthand what we mean by An Education Above,” said Nancy.
So if you’re thinking about a girls-only education for your daughter, RSVP for RPCS’s Open House on April 28th and go visit!
