October 23-25 * Maryland Zoo
It’s the most spooktacular time of the year at the Maryland Zoo! Get your costume ready and join us for free trick-or-treating, costume contests, fun carnival games, crafts, live entertainment, yummy food and more! It’s bound to be a frightfully fun & wild time. *Parents and kids of all ages are encouraged to bring goodie bags and wear costumes! Toddler Time Halloween & Costume Parade with Choo Choo Blue
October 28, 10:30 AM * B&O Railroad Museum
Join the B&O Railroad Museum for the year’s last Toddler Time for a Halloween celebration and costume parade! Choo Choo Blue, the museum’s mascot, will lead the parade! Children listen to a classic railroad story, create a craft, enjoy a train ride through the fictional town of Choo Choo Blueville, and parade in costume around the Museum to collect special treats – all included with paid admission. AVAM’s Free Fall Halloween Celebration

Free “Lumin-Eeries” Lantern-Making Workshop at 4! Monsters & their Mummies are invited to create their own eerie luminary lantern, BYO Glass Jar (any size w/ label removed), all materials: glue, paper, googly eyes & bling provided. Halloween Sleepover at the Aquarium
October 30th – 31st * National Aquarium
Ever wondered how the residents of the Aquarium celebrate Halloween? Now is your chance to find out! Spend the night at the Aquarium with some of our ickiest, creepiest, slimiest and coolest animals, as they get ready for the most ghoulish day of the year. You’ll explore the Aquarium after hours with one of our expert guides, get up close with our most unique animal residents and discover what happens behind-the-scenes when the lights go out. Help us get the building ready for tomorrow’s trick-or-treaters by carving a pumpkin for display around the Aquarium—and in some of our exhibits! When you’re done exploring, set up camp and sleep under the watchful eyes of our playful dolphins or incredible sharks. In the morning, it’s time to put on your costume! You’ll join us for a special enrichment session with our dolphins before helping us open the Aquarium to welcome our guests in your Halloween best!
