In case you missed it among the interwebs… or your Facebook feed was full of Kardashian instagrams, here are some parent-newsworthy things from today that have us buzzing.

Rockin’ Jump opened last week in Towson. We haven’t been there yet, but hear great things! They have a Rockin’ Tots program that includes two hours of jumping for kids 1-6 and a parent on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. There is a promise of gourmet coffee… Yum. We’re also intrigued by their slam dunk zone and jumpin’ dogdge ball (is there an adult league?). Check out their website and go visit!

One of Charm City’s own made the BBC’s 10 Greatest Stained Glass Windows in the world. Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church in Bolton Hill has an amazing Tiffany Window that is just so (cool).

A fav spot for sports enthusiasts, the Sports Legend Museum at Camden Yards closed this week. An apparent inability to agree on rent terms has sent the organization in search of new digs and they hope to reopen in two years, according to a report by WBAL. Babe Ruth’s birthplace (recently remodeled) will still be open to visitors year round.

Mt. Vernon Marketplace opens this Wednesday! According to Baltimore Magazine, 15 local vendors including Pinch Dumplings, Edible Flavors Bakery, Ful African Salads, The Big Bean Theory, The Local Oyster, Cultured Charcuterie, and Taps Fill Station—an eco-friendly bar that offers draft beer and wine to-go—have set up stalls in the space. Lots of foodie options! {Who needs dinner after soccer?}

The American Academy of Pediatricians have changed their stance on screen time. {Say what?!} So before you manhandle the iPad away from little fingers, check out their new guidelines (via Forbes).

Need a date night? How about one with a view? The Baltimore Sun just released a list of top ten local restaurants with breathtaking views. Now, to make reservations…

If you’re looking for a great way to give back (and meet a few other local parents), check out the Reading Partners Information Session at Play Cafe Baltimore this Wednesday. Learn how being a reading partner tutor can help your own children as Reading Partners staff and volunteers discuss teaching tips for parents. Since it’s at Play Cafe, you bring the littles!
