The first-ever Kids’ Opening Day, will be held Sunday, April 12, at Oriole Park when the Orioles host the Blue Jays at 1:35 p.m. The celebration will welcome children to a new season of Orioles Baseball with many fun activities and unique game-day opportunities for several lucky kids throughout the day.

The first 7,500 fans age 14 and under will receive an Orioles braided rope necklace. Eleven of those rope necklaces will be specially marked with an orange ticket (forget gold ticket, Willy Wonka!) containing a prize. Prizes include taking the field with the Orioles starters during the National Anthem, throwing out the first pitch prior to the game, and helping to deliver the line-up card.

In-game entertainment for children including the “Tweet for a Bird Visit” promotion in which fans tweet for the chance to have the Oriole Bird deliver an Orioles prize back to their seats.  Select children who show their Orioles spirit by wearing costumes or bringing signs will receive an Orioles autographed item for their extra bird spirit!

There will even be a poster-making station and face painting. All fans 14 and under will be able to participate in a postgame Kids Run the Bases.

Tickets run $10 – $56, depending on your seat selection. Buy tickets here.
