I have a soft spot in my heart for local businesses in Baltimore — especially when they give back to some of my favorite non-profit organizations. For the third year in a row, aMuse Toys will be sharing a portion of it’s Neighborhood Toy Store day sales with a non-profit selected by their customers. This year, after counting the votes, the lucky recipient is Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.

{And since the Little Lion Man spent some time there and they were so wonderful to us, I’m doubly excited for this partnership!}.

Shop with aMuse tomorrow (November 8th) at either their Fells Point or Quarry Lake locations and 10% of your sale will be donated to Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital. What does the pediatric hospital do? It assists families in transitioning their medically sensitive children from hospital settings to home. At Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, patients get both sophisticated medical care and a warm family-friendly atmosphere. So they heal, grow, go home stronger, and learn the skills that lead to happier, more independent lives.

Our own experience at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital was wonderful, although short. It was the first time our little guy got to meet his big sister and the entire medical and support team went above and beyond to make it special. After spending months in ICU, we couldn’t have been more grateful. We still are.

In addition to proceeds being donated, you and your children can help assemble goodie bags for children served by Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital all weekend — they’d LOVE some help #givingback from you & your kiddos! Stop by Saturday or Sunday to help them give back!
