Looking for a fun start to your weekend? Come on out to “Feet on the Street” and join the party! “Feet on the Street” is hosted by the Towson Chamber of Commerce and features a band every Friday night from the middle of May to the end of September. Is there a better way to spend a Saturday morning than eating cookies and painting scenes from nature? Cookies and Canvas is hosting a step-by-step painting class with instructions for your child to come home with a masterpiece. Playground Clean-Up at Patterson Park
Join Friends of Patterson Park, Fells Prospect, and Canton Community Association for another special morning of family fun at the playground (located near Linwood Ave. and Pratt St.). Thanks to funding from the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) we’re planning to put parents to work doing a seasonal cleaning while kids (independent walkers and up) enjoy activities near-by. Clean for an hour and then invite the kids back to enjoy their new space while parents socialize. They’ll provide supplies, non-alchoholic drinks, and treats for everyone! Mess Fest at The Maryland Science Center
Be prepared to get ultra-messy at the Maryland Science Center’s first annual Mess Fest! Put on some old clothes and join us for a day of mega-messy, ooey-gooey and slimy science activities. Craft your own slime at our slime bar, use a power drill to create a work of art, experiment with oobleck and much more! The festivities continue outside with these over the top demonstrations: Rooftop paint balloon drop; Exploding Pringles can; Baking powder blow up; Elephant toothpaste explosion, and more!
