Kid-friendly entertainment, delicious food + adult-sized laughs? St. James Academy has planned the ultimate family date night.

The St. James Academy Children’s Dinner Theatre series provides quality local entertainment for children and parents {that ahem, entertains BOTH children and parents!} while raising money for The Ark, a daycare center for homeless children operated by the Episcopal Community Services of Maryland.

On Friday, April 4, head to St. James Academy as they present Mark Lohr and More Lohrs. Mark Lohr has been wowing global audiences for more than 2 decades with his unique blend of slapstick vaudeville baggy pants comedy and circus arts!

“Children’s Theater is a wonderfully creative experience for young audiences where the performers draw on the audience’s sense of imagination and play.   To make it easy for parents, the evening begins with a simple but delicious dinner in Macdonald Hall and the show ends early enough for most bedtimes. My wife and I enjoy these shows as much as our sons do,” said Karl Adler, Head of School at St. James Academy.

What’s on the dinner theatre menu? Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad, iced tea/lemonade and ice cream sandwiches, catered by the church’s Mens Club. Word on the street is that they make a mad meatball.

Dinner begins at 5:30 and the show is over by 7:30 — so the kiddos are fed, home, and in bed by 8:30. That gives you the rest of your Friday evening to relax.

Dinner is $6/person (children under 2 are FREE!). The show is $6/person (babes in arms are free). Reserve your tickets here.
