Want an easy keep ’em busy activity that smells good, too? Try Kool Aid Playdough! Bright, vibrant colors and making it is just as much fun as playing with it!

Here’s how to make kool-aid playdough. You’ll need to double or triple the recipe depending on how many colors you’d like to make. This recipe makes one color.

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • ¼ Cup Salt
  • 1 Packet Kool-Aid {I got these from the grocery store for $1 for 5}
  • 1/2 Cup Water {You may need a little more}
  • 1 Tb. Oil

Assemble your materials so you don’t have to run around looking for them! Bring water to boil on the stove (or use your instant hot water tea pot, which is what I did!).

Mix your dry ingredients together in a cup.

Add 1/2 cup of hot water. Mix. Add more water if you think it needs it. I started mixing with a spoon and then kneaded the playdough to get it to the right consistency and have the color evenly distribute.

Mold and play!

Yepp. That easy. The kiddos will love it!
